Seasons Greetings!

As the year draws to a close the Adelaide Film Festival is in the exciting phase of putting the final touches on our program and sending it away to the printer - ready for our January 2005 launch.

No doubt you have already caught up with our program highlights, released in November and are already planning how you can organise your holidays to coincide with the 2005 festival for a two week immersion in all things screen based. We will be presenting over 300 films across 190 sessions PLUS forums, workshops, In Conversation with...

Grab your festival passes now - and if you want to be a guest at the party of the year then don't forget to book for our Gala Opening Night - not only will we present the only screening of as soon to be revealed fabulous film, but we will present the second Don Dunstan Award to an individual who has made a unique contribution to Australian Film.

We've Moved

We are excited to announce our move to Adelaide's West End - the city's vibrant Arts Precinct. Greater Union City Cinema in Hindley Street will become our new home, and will be a hub of excitement over the 14 days of the Festival. For more info, checkout our website at www.adelaidefilmfestival.org

The star-studded night kicks off with the presentation of the 2005 Don Dunstan Award and the Australian Premiere of a superb feature film (to be announced January 2005) at Her Majesty's Theatre. Workshops Revealed
Kino - Candian Filmmakers

For those of you who don't just love the cinema but make work for it don't miss out on being a part of KINO KABARET - an eight day intensive lab. Kino from Canada are a group of directors who have devised a project that sees up to 40 directors working together over 8 days creating a slate of films every two days and screening them every second night - instant, no budget filmmaking that creates fresh almost improvised cinema. In Montreal they have over 450 members and have set up 23 satellite Kinos around the globe from St Petersburg to Wisconsin, establishing a global network of likeminded, resourceful and energetic filmmakers. Shynola - UK Based Animation Collective

Shynola, the multi award winning UK based animation collective are coming to Adelaide to host a three day workshop exploring the development of a creative idea for music video. This is a must for any serious animator in Australia - their work is amazing. They have made videos for Unkle, Radiohead, Beck & Blur and they are currently finishing animating the Guide for the upcoming feature Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy.
