The Take
In the wake of Argentina's spectacular economic collapse in 2001, a group of unemployed auto-parts workers walk into their idle factory, roll out sleeping mats and refuse to leave: all they want is to re-start their silent machines. But their simple request for a kind of people-run capitalism by necessity requires a complete overturning of long-established and seemingly un-negotiable political, social and economic structures. Well-crafted and inspirational, this film by Avi Lewis Director/Producer and Naomi Klein Writer/Producer (of No Logo fame) shows that if there's a will, there can be a way.
