A series of workshops for younger crew to learn how to get creative with mobile phones, have fun and take away skills and an understanding of the tools that enable you to make art with technology!

About the miniSeries workshops

Open to ages 12 – 16 preferred but negotiable, WAP animation session will be open to older participants. For all sessions; Bring your phone, whatever make and model; basic computer skills an advantage but not essential. There will be helpers on the day to assist with computer tasks. There will also be mobile phone handsets available on the day.

SESSION 1 Artones - LOGOS, 9.30 - 11.30 am

Participants are able to create personalised logos and graphics for their phone and to share with friends via downloads.

SESSION 2 Artones - RINGTONES, 12.30 - 2.30 pm

Participants will create their own ringtones for mobile phones, that will made available for download at the end of the session, as well as embedded on their phone. Some interest or skill in music would be an advantage, but not essential.

SESSION 3 WAP Animation, 3.30 - 5.30 pm

Participants will create black and white images that will be uploaded to a server and be viewed via WAP (wireless technology) as a motion animation on a mobile phone. They can also create an index page and menu for the phone to navigate to their animation.
