Eleven year-old Daniel often struggles with a feeling of abandonment. His mother died two years earlier, and his father, Marc, is a workaholic who has little time for his son. Thankfully, Danny can count on his buddies Colin and William. With their help, he trains a dog for the next Superdogs competition. But the kids have to face the animosity of a girl their age, April, whose mother owns the best kennel in town. At the end Danny wins April's friendship and improves his relationship with his father.
