This politically incorrect comedy follows the misadventures of two wheelchair–bound warring neighbours. With deadpan, black humour and starring the directors as the two criminally-inclined cripples, this road movie is a journey from pettiness and boredom to Don Quixotean victory, veering wildly around sentimentality and predictability. Touching on many of the big issues of life - adultery, disability, loneliness and Motocross races - this is an unforgettable ride.

Reviews

“A burlesque comedy, engaging and funny, populated by memorable characters and carried out in a most memorable tone.”

Louis Danvers, L'Express

About the Director

Benoît Delépine and Gustave Kervern

Belgians Benoît Delépine and Gustave Kervern cut their teeth over 15 years writing and acting on TV as stand-up comedians. They met 5 years ago on the set of the independent DV-shot show "Grolandsat" where they cleverly developed and tested their unique style. Aaltra is their first feature film collaboration.
